Lunch sponsored by the club
Join fellow club members to help Beyond Housing clean up the historic Greenwood Cemetery, 6571 Saint Louis Ave, Hillsdale MO 63121. We will meet on Saturday, May 17th, at 9:30am and go until 12:00 noon, followed by an optional complementary lunch sponsored by the Harvard
Club that features brief remarks by Chris Krehmeyer, President and CEO of Beyond Housing. Greenwood, established in 1874, was the first commercial burial ground for African Americans in the St Louis area. It is rich in history: among others, Harriet Robinson Scott, the wife of Dred Scott, was laid to rest there.
Be prepared to do physical work outdoors and dress accordingly. Please direct questions to club service officer Ray Boshara at RJ1961@gmail.com or Kim Hungerford at Beyond Housing at khungerford@beyondhousing.org.
