Longtime club member and former president Henry Biggs will present a behind the scenes look at his 3x Offie nominated musical Trompe L'Oeil. The show which debuted off-Broadway in 2021 and has had runs in London in 2022 and 2023 is regearing for a run in Manchester and London’s West End in 2025. Blurb for the show: “Nothing is quite what it seems as two journalists fall down a trompe/Trump l’oeil rabbit hole of surrealism, gender, and politics but in spite of it all still manage to fall in love and come to terms with themselves and the new reality they live in.”
Henry is a former French Professor and Dean whose career in music as the artist Headmess has been devoted to the exploration of lyrical structure, experimenting inter alia with lipograms, acrostics or traditional meters.
