Join your fellow Ivy graduates for an exciting afternoon of “theatre in a cemetery” at renowned Bellefontaine Cemetery, followed by a reception and a chance to meet and ask questions of the cast and crew.
At this event, audience members will travel by trolley to several locations within the cemetery, where award-winning actors from local theatre company Hawthorne Players will present a series of brief theatre pieces, in which they bring to life characters buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Through powerful and entertaining monologues, each character will tell about their life and times. Along the way, audiences will learn more about the cemetery, its famous residents, and St. Louis area history.
Afterwards, audience members for these special shows will attend a reception with light refreshments, including wine and beer. You will mingle with the actors and the author and director, and have a chance to hear more about how this unique event was conceived and brought about, and to ask your questions.
